Wordings For A Memorial Candle

, Only Silence (2007)

Swallowed in three movements, the story captivates you breathless with an efficiency that fills the lack of sun this late spring. Long flashback that traces the journey of the narrator with the murders of little girls who are committed and who come regularly to fire into the American heartland and haunt his life. Anything that relates to the murderous frame is admirably conducted. I enjoy much less what is the literary genesis of the main character. The mixture of genres does not convince me. Evolve a serial killer in the open field in the manner of Mitchum in The Night of the Hunter see all this through the eyes of a child follow in his teens are successful novel. The rest become a writer, reminds me of John Fante in, I must confess my disappointment. These passages seemed boring, uninteresting. Maybe Martin Eden , the magnificent novel by Jack London, he projected his shadow on these moments ... Overall a good book that helps have fun in the hollow of a week mundane daily.
